Many countries have had a continuous process of conflict where armed forces, militia units and rebel groups are fighting for power, terrain or natural resources. They robed, raped, tortured and killed creating a territorial dynamics based on fearlessness and insecurities. In those countries today people being driven from their homes are forced to abandon their dwelling places in a significant process of migration.
The primary interest of the current research is to analyze if the land tenure system, through statistical analysis of land records, is enable to determine when forced sales were registered, and determine what variables can evidence it; with the intention of identification the nature, scope, severity and distribution of land tenure front displacement phenomena.
This chapter presents the background, research design and justification to address the problem identified in Colombia, the questions to be resolved, sampled selected for this research and the analysis to resolves the research questions
